The food was phenomenal. The flavor of everything we ordered was amazing. My friends were trying cuban food for the first time and they could not stop eating. The service was amazing, the ladies taking your order were patient and nice as my friends did not speak any Spanish but they were over the moon for this place.
The food is great! Whole fam loved it! But the portions are quite big, but still amazing! The service is amazing, staff is very kind! The ambiance is giving: 'great food' Y'know?
I'm giving it a 4 Star only I because I made a to go order and do not experience the full ordering, CS, and ambiance experience. My Pan Con Bistec order was very delicious and is probably among one of the few good ones in the Homestead area. The place has an open doorway concept so some people may not like that but then again many lunch locations across Krome Avenue are the same. There are daily special will prob try it one of these days.
We are locals and just visited for the first time today. The food was delicious. I ordered the ropa vieja with yuca and white rice and it was amazing. My husband and children ordered the pan con lechon and pan con bistec and were also impressed. The service was also good as the employees were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the ambience. They had a little wooden tables outdoors with the fans flowing really high and it was surprisingly cool outside. It was also the option to sit indoors as well, but it was a little too chilly for us. We will definitely be coming back again.
The food here is fantastic but the experience is a bit overwhelming if you aren't familiar with Cuban food and even more so if you don't speak Spanish. We fumbled through and wound up with not what we thought we were ordering but it was great all the same. The food is all laid out deli style, so you can see and point to what you would like, but it wasn't clear how much you were ordering or if there were plate options. Definitely a place I would frequent if we lived in Miami though! There is a small market in the restaurant that was providing samples the day we were there and that was a nice touch. Open air patio was fantastic and the staff really was trying to be friendly and helpful to us.
